It is used in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn s disease and rheumatoid arthritis.
How Salazo 500 works
It is a Disease Modifying Anti-Rheumatoid Drug (DMARD). It works by suppressing the overactivity of the immune system in autoimmune diseases and blocks the chemical messangers that cause inflammation (swelling). It has an additional anti-bacterial property which helps prevent bacterial growth.
